Waller Smith & Palmer is pleased to announce that on July 1, 2013, Attorney Mark S. Zamarka was named a partner in the firm. Attorney Zamarka joined the firm in 2008, and heads the firm’s bankruptcy and foreclosure departments. His areas of practice also include appellate litigation, land use matters, municipal law, collections, and general litigation. Before joining Waller Smith & Palmer, Attorney Zamarka practiced law for several years in Michigan, where he also served as a district court mediator.
Attorney Zamarka received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1985 and his J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1988.
He was admitted to the Connecticut bar and to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 2008. Attorney Zamarka is a member of the Connecticut and New London County Bar Associations and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Attorney Zamarka resides with his wife and two children in the town of East Lyme. He has volunteered with East Lyme youth sports programs and with the Southeast Connecticut Youth Hockey program.
