Waller Smith & Palmer is dedicated to helping disabled individuals receive the benefits they deserve. We represent claimants seeking both Social Security Disability (SSD) and
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) from the initial application to hearings at the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review to appeals of
unfavorable decisions to the United States District Court.
National statistics show that claimants with legal representation have a substantially greater likelihood of receiving benefits than those who proceed without an attorney. The
Social Security disability process can be frustrating and confusing. One of the most common mistakes made by claimants is not appealing a denial in the time required. A missed deadline may mean that you have to start the process again or may preclude you from receiving benefits at all. Do not let this happen to you.
We can help you at all levels of the process:
- If you have not yet filed for benefits; we can explain the process, help prepare the initial application and obtain required medical and employment information;
- If you have already filed and been denied, we will prepare and file the Request for Reconsideration or Request for Hearing and obtain supporting medical documentation including opinions from your treating physicians;
- If you have a hearing scheduled with an Administrative Law Judge, we will prepare you for the hearing, provide the Judge with evidence and legal support for your claim and represent you at the hearing;
- If you have been denied at the hearing level, we will appeal to the Social Security Administration Appeals Council and, if the claim is denied at the Appeals Council, to the United States District Court.
We charge no fee in Social Security cases unless and until we win your case and obtain Social Security benefits for you. When we win, our fee is 25% of the retroactive benefit
or $6,000, whichever is less.
Waller Smith & Palmer also represents claimants appealing from denials of private Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability insurance benefits.
